HOS Remote respects your privacy and wants you to understand where data stays and how it is used when you mirror and control your devices. This policy explains how HOS Remote handles data.
HOS Remote does not require registration or sign-in. It does not read your name, phone number, account, contacts, precise location, browsing history, or other information that identifies you.
HOS Remote does not upload your personal information to developer servers, and does not sell, rent, exchange, or share your personal information with third parties.
To help you reconnect to devices, HOS Remote stores settings that you enter or choose on your device, such as:
These settings are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to the developer or unrelated third parties.
If you use unlock-coordinate features, the app stores only the unlock tap coordinates that you record. It does not store your lock-screen password text. Local storage differs by platform:
If you use HDC Wireless Direct, the app stores HDC authorization key material on your device. iOS uses Keychain, and Android uses AndroidKeyStore. During authorization, the app may exchange public keys, signatures, or authorization data with the target HarmonyOS device. This information is used only for devices you choose to connect to.
If you enable connection log recording, diagnostic logs are stored only on your device to help troubleshoot connection issues. You can clear these logs in the app.
System permissions and capabilities differ by platform. HOS Remote uses them only when the related feature needs them.
HOS Remote connects only to the target device or service address that you enter, for screen mirroring, touch control, remote keys, and command debugging.
Wireless Direct requires you to enable Developer Options and wireless debugging/HDC on the HarmonyOS device, and to confirm authorization on the device. HOS Remote does not bypass device authorization and does not automatically connect to unknown devices.
Desktop Service requires you to run HOS Remote Server yourself. Screen and control data is transmitted between your device, the target device, and the service you configure. It is not sent to developer servers.
HOS Remote does not include advertising SDKs, does not perform advertising tracking, does not build user profiles, and does not use data for tracking across apps or websites.
Other than operating system capabilities and the target devices or services you configure, HOS Remote does not actively transmit private data to third-party services.
You can delete device profiles, clear connection logs, or remove saved unlock coordinates in the app. When you delete a device profile, unlock coordinates associated with that device are also deleted.
You can also uninstall the app to remove app data. On iOS, authorization material managed by Keychain may follow the system Keychain retention policy. On Android, related material in app-private storage and AndroidKeyStore is usually removed by the system when the app is uninstalled. On any platform, the developer does not have access to this local material.
HOS Remote does not ask children to provide information, and it does not collect personal information from children. The app does not require registration or sign-in, and it does not collect information that identifies users. If a child uses the app with a parent or guardian, connection settings and diagnostic logs stay on the device and can be deleted by the parent or guardian.
We may update this Privacy Policy if app features or data practices change. Updated versions may be provided through the store listing, in-app pages, or other appropriate channels.
